Travel medical insurance
- Valid for the duration of the visa.

- The confirmation letter or insurance paperwork must clearly indicate the terms of your insurance, including the extent, duration, and validity of your coverage.
Employment letter with the following information:
- Name and address of the employer.
- Nature of employment.
- Starting date of employment.
- Salary.
- Purpose of travel.
- Duration of time off from work for travel.
Additional documents required - Scans (copies) of:
- Personal-ID page of passport.
- Older Schengen visas (if relevant).

Applicants below 18 years old
Applicants who are minors (below 18 years old) are required to submit the following additional requirements:
1. Copy of birth certificate.
- In case the minor applicant is adopted, adoption documents must be submitted.
- If the minor applicant’s parents are divorced, divorce papers must be provided.
- If the minor applicant’s parents are deceased, death certificates are required as well.
2. Letter of consent from both parents or legal guardians.
3. Copy of both parents’ or legal guardians’ passports
4. Additional documents may need to be provided in support of your travel visa application.
Hungary Visa Application Steps
- Prepare all the necessary paperwork.
- Choose “Tourism” on the visa application form when indicating your purpose for the trip.
- Choose how many entries are required for Hungary or the Schengen region.
- Complete the application.

5. Schedule a visa appointment, if applicable.
- Most applications must be submitted in person at a scheduled appointment at the nearby Hungarian Consulate or visa facility. Alternately, applications may be submitted during regular business hours without an appointment. If an appointment is required, get in touch with the Hungarian Consulate or a visa facility.
6. Submit your Hungary Schengen visa application.
- Applications must be submitted no earlier than six months, but no less than 15 days, before the date of travel.
- Application materials must often be delivered in person to the Hungarian Consulate or a visa processing facility. There might, however, be a few variations in the submission processes.
- Applicants may occasionally permit others to submit the application on their behalf, provided that the authorization has been notarized. 7. Pay the visa application fee.

Hungary Visa Processing Time
Application processing for Hungary Schengen visas typically takes 15 days. However, it could take up to 45 days in some circumstances.
For approved visa applications:
- Prior to collection, applicants must verify that the information on the visa is accurate and current.
- Those who applied for and were granted a Schengen visa for Hungary should keep in mind the following:
- If your travel plans change after you’ve submitted your application, let the Hungarian Consulate or visa application center know.
- Entry into Hungary or any other Schengen country is not assured by the approval of a Schengen visa.

For denied visa applications:
- You or your legal agent have eight days to appeal a decision that denies your request for a Hungarian Schengen visa.
