For sticker visa applications
- Passport
- Valid for at least 6 months and with at least 2 blank pages for stamps
- Copies of the passport data page
- Completed and signed visa application form No.17
- Passport-sized photograph
- The size should be 3.5cm x 4.5cm
- Documents that prove applicants’ financial ability to support themselves during their stay in the country.
- Original and stamped bank statements for the past 3 months.

Application steps
For e-visa applications via the portal
- Gather the required documents
- Fill out the application form
- Visit the official Korea Visa portal to fill out the form.
- Submit the application form online.
- Upload your digital passport photo and proceed to submit the South Korea visa application form electronically.
- Pay the South Korean visa application fee.
- The fee can be paid online using debit or credit cards.
*Note: For applicants who have inviters or sponsors:
- To apply for an e-visa, the sponsor must start the application process by completing the Korea visa application form for the applicant on the Korean Visa Portal and submitting it for review. Once approved, the sponsor should share the confirmation number with the applicant, who must then download the form, attach the required documents, pay the visa fee, and submit the application to the relevant Korean diplomatic mission.
For sticker visa applications
- Gather the required documents
- Fill out the e-form through the Korean Visa Portal
- Go to the official South Korean Visa website and select your nationality and choose the purpose of your visit as a short-term visit for tourism, select the duration of your stay, and click “Start”.
- Fill out the South Korean visa application form in block letters using either English or Korean.
- Confirm with the Korean diplomatic mission in your country if you can download and fill out the form by hand from the website.
- Schedule your South Korean visa appointment.
- Contact the South Korean embassy, consulate, or VAC to confirm whether it is necessary to book an appointment or if you can submit your South Korean visa application without one within regular business hours.
- Submit your printed South Korean visa application form.
- Submit the required documents for a South Korean visa, including the completed application form, photo, and supporting documents, to the relevant South Korean consulate, embassy, or VAC.
- Pay the South Korean visa application fee.
Note:
For applicants who have inviters or sponsors.
If you are applying for a sticker visa, the person inviting or sponsoring you must complete the South Korea visa application form on your behalf and submit it to the Korean Immigration Office for review. Once the application has been approved, the sponsor must send the confirmation number to you, so you can take it to the Korean consulate or embassy in your country of residence or citizenship to obtain your visa.
South Korea Visa Fees
To apply for a South Korean visa, a processing fee must be paid. For a single-entry visa with a stay of less than 90 days, the fee is US $40, while a single-entry visa with a stay of 91 days or more has a fee of US $60. However, the fees may vary due to the applicant's nationality, international agreements, reciprocity principle, and international practices. Moreover, additional fees may be charged if the visa fee is paid online through the portal.
