For Poland Schengen Visa

Documents for a Polish Schengen visa application must be filled in using Roman capital letters and either completed or translated into English or Polish.

Valid passport

  • 2 or more blank pages
  • Bearing the signature of the applicant
  • Not older than ten years
  • Valid for at least three months after the requested visa expires
  • Previous passport, if applicable

Passport-sized photos

  • Size 3.5 x 4.5 cm
  • Plain white background
  • Taken within the past 6 months
  • Forward-facing with facial features visible and clear

  • Proof of lodging (including booking reference number, address, and hotel contact information)

Travel medical insurance

  • Valid for the duration of the visa
  • Valid across all Schengen nations
  • A minimum of 30,000 EUR in coverage must be acquired.
  • The confirmation letter or insurance paperwork must clearly indicate the terms of your insurance, including the extent, duration, and validity of your coverage.

Employment letter with the following information:

  • Name and address of employer
  • Nature of employment
  • Starting date of employment
  • Salary
  • Purpose of travel
  • Duration of time off from work for travel

Scans (copies) of:

  • The passport’s personal ID page.
  • previous Schengen visas (if relevant).
  • Residence permit (if relevant).

Applicants below the age of 18 are required to submit the following additional requirements:

  • Copy of birth certificate
    • Documents proving the adoption of the underage applicant are needed.
    • Divorce decrees are needed if the applicant’s parents are divorcing.
    • Death certificates are necessary if the minor applicant’s parents have passed away.
  • A letter of approval from the parents or other responsible adults
  • Copy of both parents or legal guardians passports

It may also be necessary to submit supplementary documents in relation to your travel visa application.

Poland Schengen Visa Fees

The typical application fee for a Poland Schengen visa is 80 EUR. However, some applicants are free from costs, such as those who are applying for most student visas and visas for children under the age of 6. A separate, non-refundable service fee will generally need to be paid with each application.

Poland Schengen Visa Application Steps

  1. Prepare all the required documents.
  2. Select “Tourism” as the reason for travel on the visa application form.
  3. Decide the number of entries needed to Poland or the Schengen area.
  4. Fill out the application form.

    5. Schedule a visa appointment, if applicable.
  • Most applications must be submitted in person at a scheduled appointment at the Polish Consulate or visa center that is closest to you. Alternately, applications may be submitted during regular business hours without an appointment. If an appointment is required, get in touch with the Polish Consulate or the visa office.

    6. Submit your Polish Schengen visa application.
  • Note: Applications must be received no sooner than six months before the date of travel, but no later than 15 days prior.
  • Applications must often be delivered in person to the Polish Consulate or a center for visa applications affiliated with Poland. There might, however, be a few variations in the submission processes.
  • It is anticipated that applicants will be required to provide their fingerprints as biometric information. The gathering of fingerprint data from children less than 12 is not permitted. Most likely, applicants who have already submitted their fingerprints within the last 59 months won’t be requested to do so again.
  • It might be necessary for applicants to return at a later time for a trip-related interview.

Applications must be filed at least 15 days but no sooner than 6 months prior to the intended date of travel.

Where to apply

  • The Polish Consulate or a Polish-connected visa application center should be used to personally submit applications.
  • Only applications from citizens or residents of that nation should be submitted.
  • Applications may be submitted through a Schengen state consulate that represents the interests of a Polish consulate in nations without a Polish consulate.

Poland Visa Processing Time

Applications for Poland Schengen visas are processed in about 15 days. However, it can take up to 60 days in rare circumstances.

For approved visa applications:

  • Prior to collection, applicants must verify that the information on the visa is accurate and current.
  • Those who applied for and were granted a Schengen visa for Poland should keep in mind the following:
    • After your submission is complete, notify the Polish Consulate of any changes to your schedule.
    • Entry into Poland or any other Schengen member state is not assured by the approval of a Schengen visa.
    • For entry into Poland or other Schengen regions, you might still need to provide more documentation proving your financial stability or place of residence.

For denied visa applications:

  • You have 14 days to appeal the judgment if your application for a Poland Schengen visa is denied.
  • The consul who denied the visa must receive the appeal.
  • A last request can be made to the Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw through the same consul if the consul upholds the rejection.
  • The request for an appeal is free. However, there is a cost that applicants must pay that may be reimbursed in some circumstances if they decide to proceed with a final appeal through the Polish courts. Nevertheless, it is typically non-refundable whether your appeal is granted or rejected.
